AMP Stables began in 2000 under the vision of founder Melinda, who set out to create a place where horses received home-like care and young riders could grow with confidence, compassion, and skill. Over the years, AMP became a trusted part of the equestrian community, known for its welcoming atmosphere, strong values, and dedication to horsemanship and education.
 

In December 2024, the barn entered a new chapter when Erica and Russ Brown purchased the business and expanded it into AMP Stables & Boarding. With a shared commitment to exceptional care, community, and education, they stepped into ownership with a clear purpose: to honor the strong foundation already built while bringing new opportunities, expanded programs, and a renewed focus on serving riders and families. The transition marked a fresh era of growth grounded in the same values that have defined AMP from the beginning.

Melinda continues to play an important role in the barn’s success as the lead instructor, guiding students with the same passion and expertise that shaped AMP’s early years. Under her instruction, riders continue to thrive as they build confidence, responsibility, and a deep understanding of true horsemanship.

Under Erica and Russ’s leadership, AMP Stables & Boarding remains rooted in the core values that shaped its beginning: exceptional care, safety, education, community, and horsemanship. Drawing on their combined backgrounds in business, instruction, and animal care, they bring both structure and heartfelt compassion to the barn while expanding educational offerings and creating meaningful opportunities for homeschool families and young riders.
 

Whether a student comes for lessons or Equitation Club or a boarder arrives with their heart horse, the goal is the same: to ensure that everyone there feels truly at home.
